Caroline “Taylor” Brown is a outstanding student and citizen. She attends North Carolina School of Math and Science, where she has been nominated as a National merit Scholar and she just received the Raleigh Rotary Youth leadership Award. She volunteers with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the American Diabetes Association- she believes in both, since her brother is a type one diabetic. She kicked off the 2009 Heart Walk and the 2009 Alzheimer’s Walk. She runs varsity cross country. She has fostered over 20 dogs, helping to find forever homes for them.

CW22 and MyRDC television stations, in partnership with Plato’s Closet, are pleased to present the Student-Citizen Awards to recognize high school students like Caroline Taylor Brown, who meet the requirements of the North Carolina Student Citizen Act. The values are: Responsibility for school climate, Service to others and Citizenship.
Educators, administrators, students, parents and others can nominate high school juniors and seniors that have a minimum 2.5 GPA, are active in school or community activities that make a positive impact on the school, the community, or in the lives of others.
One student will be selected each month to receive the CW 22/ MyRDC Student-Citizen Award. If your student wins, please be prepared to send photos of him/her in action. Winners receive on-air and web-site profiles as well as a trophy.
